Hobbies

This is what happens sometimes when you have too many hobbies and they take over the living room.

Tile Measurements

This is the time you have to get out the math you learned in school, you know those formula you though you would never use. Well for tiling you just need a simple length x With formula to get square feet in order to order the amount of tiles needed So...

I measured my area as 47"x60"=2820sq.ft.
2820x5%(for errors)=2820x.05=141
Total Square feet tiles needed: 2820+141=2961

I will also need backer board. You can use plywood but since this is under a heavy stove and have heat I am going with the Concrete backerboard.
Now to decide on the tile........

Second Gate for Barn

Finally the second gate is in for the barn. It should make things better for the animals and me. I can get those turkeys out from under my feet and out into the pasture, aka weed patch.

As soon as I can get pictures up I will I have been haivng problems the last day.

Weekend project

I will finally have a weekend off to get things done around here. I am planning to put tile around the wood stove and go about 2 feet in front of it. The rug has been burned too many times from ashes falling while trying to clean it out. I will need to get it done now before it gets too cold since I will need to use the stove to heat the house. I am planning on getting a larger stove that has a 2000 sq feet range so I can heat the house better because there is no heat upstairs except for one room.

Then, hopefully, in the spring I will have saved enough money to tile the family room and kitchen or at least put a vinyl floor in. The rug has been stained too much by the children when I was at work and they did not clean up the mess and the kitchen floor tile is cracking and peeling.

So it will be off to Topeka Friday after work and then I will have the weekend to hopefully finish the project.
