There Is No Prince Charming
1. Life is not a romance novel or a fairy tale for women or men. There is no Prince Charming for Cinderella, no Wendy for Peter Pan.
2. The rules of mom's day are just that--the rules of a by-gone era. They no longer apply.
3. Everyone is their own supporter and savior--the author of their own fate. Marriage is a partnership that must benefit two people to endure.
Some men call an independent woman "hard," a feminist, a bitch, or worse. Certainly this woman will not be the girl who married dear ol' dad.
But eventually this autonomous woman will find a man who appreciates and loves her for who she is. Both partners can have a happy marriage and thus, will probably stay married.
As for the others--I imagine some will keep those divorce statistics alive and well. Others will remain single.
