The Great Wall Of China in the Seasons

The Great Wall of China was built over 2,000 years ago by Qin Shi Huanghi, first emperor during the Qin Dynasty (211 B>C.-206 B.C.).

In Chinese the wall is called “wan-Li Qang-Qeng” which means 5,000 km wall.

It was built for the first line of defense from the nomadic Hsing Na tribes (Huns).

During the Min Dynasty (1364-1644) it was renovated with watch towers and cannons
