The Army's "New" Pre-Marriage Program

I have never personally been in the military nor have I ever been marriage to someone in the Army but I have been around long enough around Army Posts to know they have been trying to curve marriage problems and divorce for years. They have gone from making it harder to marry foreign spouses, especially from the Asia countries, to programs requiring marriage counseling before marriage. This article By PAULINE JELINEK, Associated Press Writer called Army Teaches Troops How to Pick a Spouse describes the new program the Army started using . I am not sure how much it will help. The major problem I see in military marriages and more civilian marriages is the lack of commitment and the acceptance of adultery as being okay. Below are links describing the program more in detail. From my experience the marriages that seem to last are marriages where the adults are out of the "bar" and running around frame of mind.
