France confirms lethal bird flu

Nigeria Case

It has now been confirmed according to BBC News
that a case has been found in a wild bird in France

I found an interesting article in BBC news about the Spanish flu that was from 1918-1919. It was first recorded in Fort Riley, KS.
it and is sometimes identified as ground zero for the Spanish Flu pandemic, which its soldiers were said to have spread all over the world. It was consided one of the most deadly disease in history. You would have never known that such an isolated place would be the start and back in 1918 it was very isolated. It would had taken hours of travel time to any city of any size to and from the post even with the train which was likely operating during that period.
